Graffenworks Empty Covenant Forward Deployed

Post  Whiskeytango Thu May 13, 2010 12:34 pm

So today Mack had reflexive fire...basically how to shot from the hip and do it right. They tell me he did pretty good so Gratz to him. Cold and rainy so Mackman got the optimal in Army training, as for me I changed the dates for our Senior Leader Retreat and tried to find a suitable place to live...still working on that one. Tomorrow is PT, hand grenades and moving to a new location. Miss ya all, we are gonna get a group shot here and try and upload it for the guild. Thanks for helping me out on my last day guys.

Graffenworks Empty Progressing in Graf RAID

Post  Whiskeytango Fri May 14, 2010 1:25 pm

Well another ranny crappy day which equals great Army training oppotunities : ) Mack had fun with hand grenades and we are working till Sunday. Got a sorta chapel set up...sharing it with mess hall storage but atleast we wont go hungry...lol..and its good training for rough living in Afghanistan. Trying to decide if I want Mack to do MOUNT (Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain) training or we go out and visit troops...we will see. Missin my Jenny, my boy and my Guildies : ( ... until later happy RAIDing... I cant believe how many badges we are missing out on....

Boy my Dad would never have let us "shoot from the hip" it sounds like fun. I always wanted to throw a hand grenade too. Blowing up ledge just doesn't count. All the core DPS for ICC is going to be missing on Saturday so it looks like you guys won't have much to be jealous for.

Graffenworks Empty Maybe not so good to run with CSM

Post  Whiskeytango Sat May 15, 2010 9:47 am

So everyone assumes the CSM (Command Sergeant Major) always knows what they are doing and where they are going...not always true, today we are driving around looking for our troops and we come across a road blocked off due to Hellfire missles being fired...the Specialist (E-4) in the guard shack wakes up...comes to parade rest and opens the gate for us to go through...we have no idea where we are going or if its safe but because of the CSM's rank they let us through...obviously we lived but wow...that could have been ugly because of assumptions. So Mack, Wrager and Heavygears did MOUNT (Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain = fighting in cities) today and I visited troops. Onebadsapper labored with the squad machine in a full day of dismounted patrol operations in full body armor trying to figure out how to find I.E.D.s and who to and who not to shot. Saton drove me and the CSM around, Van drove the LTC around. Erikthered went off to Advanced Leaders Course for Non-Commisoned Officers...and we will start over again tomorrow...

0840 for the Catholic, 1100 for Protestant and M-16 range for everyone...hope it warms up...way cold and drizzly for mid-May

More to follow...blessings all...WT out

Nothing as exciting as getting shot at by hellfire missiles on Kirin Tor. What with so many people missing this saturday our raid got gimped considerably. It's a whole new game for me. I've been shooting things with little toons and I'm still going hey wow I never saw that before. Tell OBS to take off the superman cape before he puts on the full body armor.

Graffenworks Empty Sunday in Grafenwerks

Post  Whiskeytango Sun May 16, 2010 12:58 pm

So my priest cursed the BN and very few crews qualified on the .50 cal today...even though they shot over 10,000 rounds...that'll teach them to mess with Sunday. We had great turn out for both Catholic and Protestant services and a pretty chilled day once we finished. The chow is pretty good in the field so I'm not losing any weight and oh by the way...still no shower...

You put too much hot sauce on your tastebuds if you think army chow is good. Wait didn't I hear about crab legs at Christmas? Isn't machine guns on Sunday kind of an army prayer service? They just deliver em at high velocity. I'm still boring the guild with "Hey look at that" and they all think I'm nuts for twinking out a hunter to prove to myself once and for all that everyone but me in PVP cheats. I caught a hunter with a speed hack in WSG. She capped two flags till we figured out that if you netted her she couldn't move. Meh you're getting shot with hellfire missiles and I'm playing WoW. You'll prolly be bored with the game after that.

Post  Blackie Mon May 17, 2010 10:51 am

Oh yeah, much more exciting than WoW.

Me I've proved a couple of things to myself with the new computer.

First: It doesn't matter which faction you play. The opposing team will be full of twinks. You will never see these twinks in any or your random groups

Second: Hacking is rampant in WoW. Some players can see anyone in stealth, never take damage, have consistant crits. This is not the blantant hacking of the speed hacks or the 900HP heals that hunters can do to themselves at level 19. It's not a game of WoW for them it's a game of cheating better.

Third: I'm a pretty good player when all the hacking (and alliance idiocy) is taken away and I can run a death machine just as good as anyone else.

It's sunny out but I don't have anything to blow up Bill. Loan me a hand grenade will you.

Graffenworks Empty Out tot he ranges again

Post  Whiskeytango Tue May 18, 2010 2:57 am

Glad the game is working for ya...and that you have come to terms with being a great player!

We all are coveting Saton's ability to play WoW out here and we got on for a moment on vent...even if he really does know how to project his voice. Back to rain today, had a brief bit of sun yesterday but back to ran now, makes it hard to believe its almost June!

We are getting ready for our mass casualty exercise so people are getting a little stressed...me well...I'm thinkin after reset today I will be out 20 emblems of Frost, 2 a day since Thurs, 4 for ICC Sat, 5 for the weekly RAID, and 4 for VoAs after reset...and you guys wondered why I was so upset with we will just do it next week.

So fill me in...any new guildies, new achievements, new goonie moves? Have seen much covenant forum but you and me, how goes normal guild life? Is my sister still playing regularly?

So I'm off to the .50 cal range...blessings all

I have been lurking in this thread and listening to you both lol

WT stop stressing on the frost emblems...if it makes you feel better I haven't been collecting many while you were gone either, have missed the weekly now for 2 weeks except one, on Rawnie, haven't been doing daily randoms, and well icc was a bust. So we aren't running ahead of you at all Smile

as far as guild goes, been pretty quiet. A RL friend of Telltales has joined us with creating a DK, his name is Josh don't know if he was here before you left or not, nice guy and very active on vent Smile

Welyronn got hacked and once again bank vault got emptied still waiting on blizz to send the items back to Joe. Becki submitted a help ticket on behalf of Wely and once again blizz messes up by NOT reading that she was putting it in on the behalf of her nephew and totally reset her password...

Other then that it has been really really quiet. Llad been working on silly achieves like the old world dungeons, think will be visiting dire maul today and working on reputation with netherwings ...so kinda boring basically.

We miss you!

Post  Whiskeytango Tue May 18, 2010 1:59 pm

Glad to hear from more people...been roaming around a lot. Back to "If it ain't rainin it ain't trainin," and today we did the Mark 19 which is basically and automatic grenade launcher mounted on a vehicle...pretty cool, of course they asked if I wanted to shot...YES...but I'm not allowed to...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

So I'm looking into how to get a satallite for gaming in Afghanistan but we will see. We have a 4 day weekend starting the 28th when we get back so I'm sure all us Engineers will be in rare form...heads up.

So far so good only had 3 people go to the hospital and we are half way done. I've been reading war of the ancients so the lore is making more sense...catch ya next time.

Yes Bill, none of us wanted to tell you but Blizz is giving us all double the frosties this month! It's the reason Lladnea doesn't bother to go to raids anymore cause she's got so many.

Seriously though is Saton on a satellite or something? How does that work?

I just lost an axe on Hammer. See it doesn't matter if I go to raids or not. I never roll more than 20 unless it's something I don't want

Post  Whiskeytango Wed May 19, 2010 9:09 am

I knew it double frosties and sanctified gear in VoA...bet there is a holiday event too!

We have all started to settle into the groove now, today is the same as yesterday but a day closer to home.

I sent Mack out with the 541st Sappers to shot the .50 cal, Mark 19 and 240b ... thats big machine gun, grenade launcher and Rambo machine gun. Me...well I dont like the healer class, I went to all the ranges including the hand grenades but I couldnt use any of the weapons...the biggest thrill I got was the concussion of the explosions and the smell of the gunpowder...its such a tease! I caught myself wanting to yell "Get some" when the guys were doing dismounted assaults...there is a part of me that longs for the rush and adrenaline of battle...dont hate me for being a Klingon.

Jenny and Derek are doing fine and we are planning some leave in early July, the last week in July and most of August we will have our final field exercise before deployment. Glad I got my authenticator, thats terrible to hear about Wel and Trig getting ganked by proxy...and wow, how bad was the GV hit? Saton has some kind of wireless internet that works...kinda, out here in Graf...typical cell phone is 1 bar so its hit and miss. I'm really considering the satallite thing but its looking like $2500 right now...yikes.

http://www.ts2.pl/en/BGAN

Jenny says my other Crossfire bridge came in so I cant wait to get back and try out my new cards...finally. Tell my sister I said hey and I should be home in 31 Frosties.

We are gearing up for our mass casualty exercise so I dont know how the next couple of days will go but I'll fill ya in as we go.

Good hunting all...WT out.

It's raining like heck here. what did you do send it over from Germany?

I can't understand, they're not even letting you shoot at the ranges? Why in the world would it be bad PR for a chaplain to shoot at a range? I mean I can see if you were running around like Rambo in front of the nightly news but what is it going to hurt? Yeah I know the army does things the army way.

Did you guys find quarters better than the kitchen?

Jenny is probably using your uber crossfire bridge to shop on e-bay!

*sigh* with graduation and deployment nothing is happening on wow.

Uh ohs they must have secretly allowed Bill to shoot something cause he didn't log on.

See this is the comparison:

Bill: They shot Hellfire missiles at me today by mistake and I could have set off a Mark 16 thermonuclear bomb but I couldn't because I was a chaplain.

Joe: I tried to wear my summer shoes and they gave me a blister now I can't walk

I want the shooting range dammit!

Kimber: The dog catcher came by today

Ryan: What? I farmed Gold

Bob: I'm playing a druid cause Blackie is so awesome

Khru: You're still missing out on Frosties WT

Purrdey: RawR

Graffenworks Empty ARRRRGHH!!

Post  Whiskeytango Fri May 21, 2010 1:19 pm

Kruzchev was right its 8 emblems of Frost...GRRRRRR!!!!

So I did combat with the good idea fairy and after a long and drawn out battle I won...but there were casualties...I did have to get a guy in "secret squirrel" class to call-in to the garrison emergency center here to get access to his office to get keys to the chapel out here to have a memorial ceremony exercise...but...we cancelled the exercise (within the exercise) but the guy was in a secret room with no cell phones allowed so I couldnt call him to say I dont need the keys...so I had to figure out how to get on-post in a non-tactical vehicle...pick up the keys I didnt need so I could save face and not have the guy think, in the secret room, we wasted his time making sure we could accomplish our mission...kinda lame...but we won...and they still had a mass casualty exercise but it only included the medics...

OK this time next week I will be in Kirin Tor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The return of Whiskey, oh so much catching up to do. Its bad to be in the field...I ordered another 4g of RAM...cant wait to play when I get home.

Saton and Van continue to play wireless out here and Mack is trying to get on too...me still undecided on a lap top...hate that they arent much for updating or upgrading, that being said...any suggestions of a good laptop to game with that doesnt cost a fortune?

Jenny and Derek are off watching Ironman 2 so I'm sure Derek will be Ironman crazy when I get home. Emblems of Frost--14 dailies, 5 weekly, 4 VoA, 8 ICCs..and we'll be home.

Blessings all

Ironman, He was turned to steel in the great magnetic field! When he traveled time for the future of Mankind. Hope Derek caught the Captain America shield cameo.

I saw Saton on earlier. Now that's dedication. The good idea fairy (The one from Bob on the Fob) is flitting around me making me think the Army can play wow anywhere!

Anyway the big news of the day is that Kenzy got hacked. Fortunately for all Kamiru caught the hacker logging on and off and called Myre who called Kimber and the day was saved. Trig has supplied a authenticator so the GV will be saved till the next time.

Did we tell you that Wely got hacked and the hacker was able to take 35 times the maximum allowed out of the guild vault?
